Overview of ZnSe lens
The substrate is made of laser-grade CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) zinc selenide material, with anti-reflective coatings on both sides. To achieve the most satisfactory focusing performance, the convex side of the plano-convex focusing lens should face the perpendicular incident light beam, while the flat side should face the workpiece. These plano-convex focusing lenses can be used in CO2 lasers and laser optical systems. In addition to their use in high-power CO2 lasers, ZnSe lenses are also widely used in biomedical and military applications. Due to ZnSe’s high transmittance in the visible light spectrum, they can also be used for beam calibration purposes.
High Transmittance:
ZnSe exhibits high transmittance in both visible and infrared wavelengths, with a broad transmission range covering wavelengths from 0.5μm to 22μm.
Low Absorption Coefficient:
ZnSe material has a low absorption coefficient and minimal optical transmission loss, making it suitable for high-power laser systems.
High Thermal Resistance:
ZnSe has a high thermal expansion coefficient, allowing it to maintain stability in high-temperature environments.
Uniform Refractive Index:
ZnSe offers excellent uniformity and consistency in its refractive index, making it ideal for applications requiring high-precision optical components.
