2. 180° Light Deflection:

When light enters through the hypotenuse, it undergoes total internal reflection at the two right-angle faces, exiting parallel to the incident light but in the opposite direction, achieving a 180° deflection regardless of the incident angle.

3. Reflective Coatings:

By applying a reflective coating to the hypotenuse, the prism becomes a right angle reflective prism. This allows light to be reflected by the coating rather than by total internal reflection, minimizing material absorption effects.
